# Save My Tokens

> Cut AI token spend by up to 66%: converts PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, HTML, EPUB, CSV, JSON and XML files to markdown once and shows how many tokens that saves. Files are processed in memory and never stored. Three free conversions, then $59 USD a year for Pro: 300 conversions a month, files up to 100 MB.

Measured on Claude with Anthropic's token counter: attaching a PDF costs the extracted text plus about 1,500 tokens per page for the page image. A 59-page PDF measured 142,365 tokens attached and 47,482 as markdown (67% saved). OpenAI's API works the same way (estimated ~2,974 image tokens per page). Absolute counts differ between tokenisers but the compression ratio holds.
